Not Frogger is an arcade-style game developed in a team for our "Intro to Game Design" class, based on the arcade hit Frogger. You play as a truck driver who's fed up with all these frogs trying to cross the street, and decides to take the matter into their own hands. Gameplay is based around attempting to drive over frogs to knock them off and gain points and combos. I was the lead programmer during this semester and wrote much of the game's code.

Notable parts of this project:

  • Created a fully featured truck, including vehicle physics and an engine sound system.
  • Wrote frog AI to allow hordes of frogs to hop across the map without bunching up or getting stuck.
  • Created five fully-articulated levels, each with their own unique twist.
